Review: This Starbucks replaces the San Francisco Coffee that was reviewed in Officekami previously. Even the space look much smaller, it is pretty spacious compared to the previous tenant. There are two -4 seater table and 4 seat sofa available and comfy for discussion.

Review: A bit bigger than Petronas McD Ampang Point that hidden behind Ampang Puteri Hospital. This place is spacious.

Review: Located behind McDonalds Petronas Ampang Jaya, is a German Deli made by Germans. Muslims don’t afraid, it’s certified Halal. The attraction to this place is the unusual BIG and huge burger, sandwich, and hot dogs. Price are on par with Carl’s Jr/Burger King, but much better. That Big ass Megaton only for RM16. add RM3 for fries and carbonated drinks.

Review: It has nice environment and pretty comfy. However if you want to leave your laptop to do your business at toilet it’s pretty scary because this, ( the pictured above ) section, is far from the counter. The main entrance of the mall is positioned in between this area and the cafe counter.  And also toilet is pretty far from the cafe, leaving it out of sight.

Review: The good thing about McDonalds is refillable soft drinks. The bad thing however is their refillable soft drinks. Because it has tooo many sugar. Other than that I have no problem but the scarce supply of socket will be a big problem here, especially for those whose battery drain so fast.

Review: One of my previous client said if you like Kenny Rogers, you’ll not like Nando’s, and vice versa. So I took a spin to try out Nando’s today and I consider Nando’s a big win. Why? because they have Bottomless a.k.a refillable soft drinks and if you’ve been watching over your weight like nazroll who’s successfully lost many weights, then there’s Ice Lemon Tea, refillable. I found out this is one of the winning point. The downside is, one glasses of Ice Lemon Tea is Rm6.30. But again, it’s refillable. Wins. The environment here is nice and cozy, because i think it’s not too crowded.

Old Town Ampang Waterfront

WiFi: OldTown. However, on certain condition, you just can’t connect with the wifi. At first I thought only my mac experiencing this, but there’s certain windows laptop also unable to connect. It is advisable to stay inside at the second floor, as the smoking area on the second floor doesn’t have good coverage.

Plugs: Ground floor have 2 plugs outside, and 1 plugs behind the cashier counter. At the first floor, there’s 7-8 plug. 4 in the smoking area and 3 in the inside

Review: It is my usual mobile office. Competition for the plug always high and during the day they didn’t open the first floor. So if the plug behind the cashier counter is occupied, you have to stay outside, which is a bit hot since it’s near to the road. The nasty thing about this place is super loud music if they going to close on the night. But oh well, I’ve used to do that when I was waiting for my SPM result at Shakey’s Pizza :p Recently they installed CIMB Bank Auto Teller Machine inside and hang in the signboard above. Coolness!

Surau/Mosque/Prayer Rooms: The nearest would be at the first floor of Pelita Nasi Kandar that is nearby. The surau however is pretty small and can fit 4 men at one time. Man or woman have to take turns to pray there. Alternative surau would be at Ampang Point or Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital

Nearest alternatives: Nando’s, Kenny Rogers, unsure if Pelita had but my last visit were none, San Francisco Coffee Ampang Point.

Review: It’s the beginning of my mobile office. It is here. Pretty comfy and many plugs, but the competition will be hot during the day since they didn’t open the first floor, unless if it’s too crowded on the ground floor. One thing to note that this area is flooded with kids asking for alms, kids selling some weird oil and people selling pirated CD’s. The safest is to stay inside the counter-area lol.

Ani Sup Utara, Ampang Waterfront 2,

Review: Ani Sup Utara is not a cafe. It’s a restaurant. On the day it’s not busy so there’s less distraction for your environment. Their foods mainly is a soup from Northern Malaysia. Ampang has 2 Waterfront. Ani Sup Utara located at new Ampang Waterfront 2 which is around Watan area and going deeper to Bukit Belacan

Review: During my early days of mobile offices, I’ve went here to work. However, due to battery problem I’ve experienced, I’ve found it hard to work outside with the hotness plus the smoke from other person. Still, it has the nice view and breeze of the hills. Don’t put high expectation as it is, by chance.
